About Zack

Zack has spent most of his life listening to, writing about, playing and talking about music. A music journalist for over two decades and former host of 33RPM, a radio show in Kuala Lumpur, he’s interviewed artists, reviewed countless records and collected far too much musical trivia — along with vinyl, cassettes, magazines and CDs.

He’s been playing in bands since he was 17, writing original music and gigging in London, across Asia and now Perth, Australia.

Stripey Top is his place to share old favourites, new discoveries and the stories behind the music — without ratings, algorithms or taking any of it too seriously.
